Potable water is available throughout the campground.Ī ponderosa pine forest towers over Sunset Campground, offering equal parts sun and shade. There are no electric, water, or sewer hookups at any campsite. A recreational vehicle is any vehicle, driven or towed, equipped with permanently installed sleeping, cooking and/or water storage facilities (RVs, trailers, camper vans, pop-ups, pickup campers, etc). Only ONE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE allowed per site. Arriving with more than 6 may result in purchasing another site or cancellation of your reservation. Single exception: large single family unit (mother, father and their immediate children). Reserving blocks of sites for commercial group camping or large family group gatherings is not permitted.Ħ person maximum capacity is STRICTLY enforced. (1.8 meters) Do not tie pets to trees or leave unattended at anytime. Hanging hammocks or any other items from trees is prohibited. Moving firewood is illegal in some states.
Gathering firewood, pine cones or pine needles within park boundaries is prohibited.
Bryce canyon camping portable#
Portable showers, toilets and changing rooms are not permitted. Need to Knowĭumpstation is open May through mid-October and there is no fee for registered campers. This site is the closest in the park to many popular hiking trails, which begin and end at Sunset Point. The Bryce Canyon Shuttle makes a stop at the campground's entrance. Picnic tables and fire rings with grills are also provided.ĭuring the summer months, laundry and shower facilities are available at the general store nearby. Sunset Campground is a very popular site with gravel parking spurs, flush toilets and drinking water. Famed Sunrise and Sunset Points are nearby at the heart of the magnificent geologic wonder of Bryce Amphitheater, where hiking and photography opportunities are plentiful. Situated at an elevation of about 8,000 feet, the campground is located 1.5 miles from the park's Visitor Center. Known for its colorful rock spires and grand vistas that sweep out over the High Plateaus region of the Colorado Plateau, Bryce Canyon is the ultimate camping destination. Sunset Campground is located in beautiful and unique Bryce Canyon National Park.
